I specialize in lifestyle and documentary-style photography focused on connection. I photograph families (in all shapes and stages), events, and milestones — from newborn sessions and birthday parties to weddings and multigenerational gatherings. I serve California and beyond. I'm not about stiff posing or forced smiles. I’m here to document you as you are.

🗺 Where are you based? Do you travel?

I'm based in Sacramento and the Bay Area, and yes — I absolutely travel. I photograph all over Northern California and I'm always open to destination sessions, especially for weddings and family events. If you're planning something outside California, just reach out and let’s talk about it.

📅 How far in advance should I book?

If you're looking for a weekend or planning a larger event like a wedding or extended family session, it's best to book early. I take a limited number of sessions each month so I can give each one my full attention. Not sure if I’m available? Just ask

📸 What is “documentary-style” photography?

Documentary-style photography means I capture real moments as they naturally unfold. I won't overly pose you — I might gently guide here and there — but the goal is to create images that feel honest. It's perfect for families, events, and anyone who hates forced smiles. I’ve documented scores of weddings, and a wedding often requires some structure, and I’m available to help you navigate that as well!

👪 Do you work with families with special needs?

Yes, absolutely. My background as a school nurse means I’m experienced working with a spectrum of children and adults with disabilities, and their families navigating unique dynamics. Whether you're in Northern California, or elsewhere, I’ll meet you where you are — with flexibility and care.

💬 What’s the booking process like?

After you fill out my contact form, I’ll reach out and we will plan a time to connect. From there, we’ll lock in a date, handle all the details. And then I can send a guide to help you feel prepared for your session — whether it's a lifestyle shoot, documentary family session, or full event.

🖼 Will I be able to print the photos?

Yes! Your gallery includes access to a professional print shop with high-quality color and paper options. I also offer albums and can help you design one — especially if the idea of picking favorites makes your brain melt.

👕 What should we wear? Do you help with styling?

Don’t overthink it. You don’t need to match or buy anything new. My best advice is to wear something you feel good in and can move around in. If you're stuck, I’m happy to help you narrow it down or send inspiration.

🎉 What kinds of events do you photograph?

Weddings, engagement parties, birthday parties, retirement celebrations — basically any event where your people are showing up for you. I focus on the real stuff: the hugs, the hands, the little details, the unplanned things that end up being the best part.
