About Me
She’s a documentary photographer based in Sacramento, born and raised in the Bay Area. And I am she. I photograph families and life celebrations with honesty and heart. I specialize in capturing real moments — the kind that aren’t perfectly posed but still feel like you.
My background is in nursing specifically public health and case management. For me reading a room, handling chaos, and holding space for people of all ages (and all needs) is second nature. This all translates to the me behind the camera too — I thrive in chaos. Whether I’m photographing a parent nurturing their neurodivergent child mid-meltdown or a tender moment during a wedding toast.
I’m not here for fake smiles or chasing trends. I’m here to help people feel seen — especially during the milestones and seasons that pass too quickly.
Whether you’ve been with me from the start or you’re just joining the ride—thank you for being here.
Who’s that girl?
I do this because life moves fast, and most of us are too busy trying to survive it all to stop and notice how beautiful (or hilarious or messy) it really is.
Photography is my way of hitting pause. Of saying: look at this — it mattered. Not just the big milestones, but the small in-betweens too. A glance, a hand squeeze, that moment when someone lets their guard down. Those are the things I want you to have proof of later.
I also do this because not everyone sees themselves in the kinds of photos we’re told to take — the weirdos, the not-so-traditional families, the tender stuff that doesn’t always look picture-perfect. I want to make space for all of that.
If you’re looking for someone who will direct when needed, roll with the chaos, and spot the soft stuff in the middle of it all — that’s me.
The heart behind it:
I bring calm to chaos — whether it’s a mid-meltdown or a room full of nerves, I read the vibe before I even pick up my camera.
I’ve been on the other side of the lens, so I know how awkward photos can feel. The best compliment? “I felt seen, cared for, and comfortable being myself!”
Events are my jam — celebrations of any kind — I love people watching and it’s where the best moments happen without any staging or posing.
I notice the little things, like how hands can reveal the connections — brushing hair away, a reassuring touch on a back — moments full of quiet emotion that often go unseen but mean everything.
Nursing has taught me how to handle chaos, think on my feet, and work with all kinds of families — including those with special needs! I have a passion for working with my neurodivergent gang and want to make sure those parents feel comfortable hiring a photographer who understands the patience and creativity needed to work with their family.
I share my home with a pup named Bella who is opinionated af, a cat named Charles who thinks he’s royalty, and a fleet of houseplants — one of which is always in some kind of crisis.
